Oxfam Novib is looking for a qualified candidate who will be taking the Accountant Intern position. The Operation Intern will be responsible for Oxfam in Laos’s internal and external communication and provide support on Operations functions in the Laos Country office as well as all regional projects based in Laos to contribute to high impact performance and success of program implementation. This position will provide direct support to the Senior Account with overall responsibility as mentioned in key responsible like below;

 

TEAM PURPOSE: To assist Accountant team in Laos to provide support service to programs inclusive regional programs based in Lao.

 

JOB PURPOSE: To provide support in the Laos Country office as well as all regional projects based in Laos to contribute to high impact performance and success of program implementation. This position will provide direct support to Senior Accountant with overall responsibility as mentioned in key responsible like below

 

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities:

 

  • Assist Accountant to review and ensures that all financial and accounting documents are well documented and archived monthly.
  • Support to the team during donor audit, internal audit, external audit and assist to find relevant

supporting documents for the auditor; filling back all the documents after the audit.

  • Monitor and ensure petty cash is managed in line with Oxfam financial guidelines.
  • Assist in prepare and review office operation expense.
  • Assist gathering signatures from the appropriate persons before processing payments
  • Assist Senior Accountant on bank related, visiting bank, SSO and Tax if need.
  • Assist Senior Accountant as per request.

 Who we're looking for:

 

  • Fresh graduate of bachelor’s degree in business administration or similar empirical knowledge
  • Computer literacy especially Ms. Word & Excel
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills and proven ability to be flexible in demanding situations.
  • Ability to handle multiple priorities and aptitude to learn quickly.
  • A team player, who works well in a multi-cultural environment, communicates readily and shares learning with colleagues and partners.

  • Team player with ability to deal with a range of people from various cultures and different capacities.
  • Good communication and willing to learn new things
  • Interest in and understanding of development work
  • Spoken and written English skills, advanced computer skills
