Internship: Data Integration & Migration (ERP/ OPP) in the ICT Unit
The ICT Unit at Oxfam Novib is modernizing its digital landscape, including the introduction of Unit4 ERP and the development of the Oxfam Partnership Platform (OPP) on Salesforce. A key part of this transformation is connecting Salesforce, Unit4 and other core business systems through our Microsoft Azure environment. These integrations will improve financial and project information, reduce manual work and enable reliable reporting.
This internship will support our ERP–OPP transformation through practical data integration and migration work. Working with the ICT Data Integration, DevOps and Business Analysis teams, you will help prepare datasets, document data mappings, and test data flows connecting Salesforce/OPP, Unit4 ERP and other systems through Microsoft Azure. You will learn from experienced colleagues while contributing to a major organizational change.
Key Tasks
- Map data flows: Help map data flows, integrations and dependencies between Salesforce/OPP, Unit4 ERP and other core systems connected through Microsoft Azure.
- Prepare source data: Profile datasets, identify duplicates or missing records, and support data clean-up with business teams.
- Document migration rules: Record source-to-target mappings, data definitions, transformations and reference data.
- Assist with data migration: Support extraction, transformation and controlled trial loads in test environments under supervision.
- Support integration development: Help build and test basic SQL queries, scripts, APIs and Azure Data Factory/Fabric workflows.
- Validate outcomes: Reconcile record counts and key totals, check data quality, and record migration exceptions.
- Test and troubleshoot: Assist with integration tests, migration rehearsals, user acceptance testing and issue tracking.
- Document and collaborate: Maintain mapping files, test evidence and technical notes; join project sessions and follow security and privacy rules.
