Oxfam in Vietnam is looking for a qualified candidate who will be taking the Digital Media and Communication Senior Officer. The Digital Media and Communication Senior Officer will plan and execute engaging content across our platforms. This role involves storytelling, digital innovation, and using media to drive social impact.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Communication Planning & Content Creation
- Develop and implement communication plans that align with Oxfam in Vietnam’s organizational goals and projects’ objectives
- Collaborate with diverse teams to translate project objectives into compelling, accessible communication contents and products. This includes collecting and compiling case studies and human-interest stories in various formats, such as written articles, blogs, photographs, films, and other creative media
- Produce high-quality multimedia content (videos, graphics, blogs) for websites, social media (X (Twitter), Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and TikTok), and other communications products
- Conduct content audits and recommend improvements
Digital Media Management
- Manage and grow the presence of Oxfam in Vietnam’s works across digital platforms.
- Schedule, publish, and monitor content and audience interactions using digital tools and platforms
- Track and analyze performance metrics to inform content strategy and improve engagement
Collaboration & Support
- Contribute to Communication Team’s strategy
- Work closely with program, knowledge management, business development, and other teams to support their communication strategies and executions
- Participate in project proposal development and other fundraising activities
- Coordinate with external vendors, freelancers, or agencies when needed
- Stay up to date with digital trends, tools, and best practices
Branding
- Ensure the use of Oxfam brand tools including logos, fonts, writing style, templates and artwork
- Ensure brand consistency and accessibility across all communication outputs
- Responsible for brand risk management
- Provide communication and brand trainings when needed
EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & COMPETENCIES
ESSENTIAL
- At least four year experience as a communication senior officer or specialist in international organisations, creative agencies, or relevant organisations
- Have a bachelor’s degree in communication, public relations, journalism or related fields
- Proven experience in communication and/or digital media for a nonprofit, campaign, or brand
- Strong writing, editing, and storytelling in English and Vietnamese
- Proficiency in content creation tools (e.g., Canva, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite, video editing apps…)
- Digital proficiency with a creative edge and understanding of AI technologies
- Commitment to Oxfam’s mission and values, including gender justice and anti-racism.
- Broad knowledge of relevant thematic areas (human rights, rural livelihoods, gender and inequality)
- Ability to demonstrate sensitivity to cultural differences and gender issues, as well as the commitment to equal opportunities
- Ability to demonstrate an openness and willingness to learn about the application of gender/gender mainstreaming, women’s rights, and diversity for all aspects of development work
- Commitment to Oxfam’s safeguarding policies to ensure all people who come into contact with Oxfam are as safe as possible
- Willingness to travel to program/project areas including to disaster areas during emergency responses
