TEAM PURPOSE: The MEAL team works towards ensuring that quality monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning is implemented in programmes and projects in Gaza, in line with relevant Oxfam standards and global best practice. The team ensures that MEAL findings inform and contribute to the continuous improvement of Oxfam’s interventions. JOB PURPOSE: The MEAL Specialist will lead the implementation of Oxfam’s MEAL framework in Gaza, ensuring high-quality monitoring, evaluation, accountability, and learning across all humanitarian interventions. This person will be responsible for ensuring the coherence of MEAL activities across projects and contributing to strategic thinking on MEAL approaches and will also provide coordination support, and reinforce local partner capacity in MEAL methodologies and processes. The post holder will be responsible for ensuring that MEAL activities adhere to Oxfam’s Common Approach to MEAL and Social Accountability (CAMSA) framework, donor requirements, and humanitarian standards. MEAL specialist will support program teams and partners in designing and implementing MEAL systems that capture impact, foster accountability, and enable learning. Additionally, the MEAL Specialist will contribute to the overall effectiveness and efficiency of the humanitarian response by leading capacity-building initiatives, supporting data-driven decision-making, and ensuring beneficiary feedback mechanisms are functional and responsive. |
